This virtual month-long training brought together 40+ North American Indigenous Youth leaders to learn from Indigenous mentors and experts in the fields of digital media/storytelling, food sovereignty, political sovereignty, outdoor survival skills, decolonize community care, and campaign development.

During this training, participants deepened into teachings on sovereignty and ancestral life ways, while also strengthening their web of connection with the other youth at the training.  The last week of the training was spent creating a decolonized environmental justice and sovereignty campaign together, to work on thereafter with the continued support of Earth Guardians.

Each youth participant was asked to commit to either working on their own campaign/project in their community thereafter, joining one of EG’s ongoing campaigns, and/or continuing to put effort into the joint campaign created alongside their peers during the 5th week of the training. EG has micro-grants available after the training to support their ongoing work.
